Why a learning environment.

+Why not call it an AI tutor?
Luminent is not built to replace teachers or act as a standalone tutor. AI is one component of the system, but the purpose of Luminent is to create an environment where learning activities, materials, and learner progress are connected and organized.
+Why not call it a practice platform?
Practice is one part of learning, not the whole of it. Luminent also includes assessment, review, reflection, content exploration, guidance, progress tracking, and instructional support. Practice contributes to learning, but it is not the product itself.
+Why call it a learning environment?
The central function of Luminent is to give learning a place to happen. Content, activities, guidance, feedback, and progress come together in one system instead of being spread across disconnected tools.
+How is Luminent different from other generative education AI tools?
Most generative education tools focus on creating new content from prompts: lesson plans, slides, quizzes, flashcards, or tutoring conversations. Luminent can generate content, but that is not its primary purpose. It helps educators and learners turn existing materials into interactive environments, without replacing the content they already use and maintain. AI generation is one capability of the platform, not the platform itself.
+How is Luminent different from other interactive learning tools?
Most interactive tools offer fixed experiences built by the platform. Luminent lets teachers and students build their own learning environments, used independently for self-study or as part of a teacher-guided classroom.
